Ashley is a former newspaper designer who transitioned into the field of marketing and brings more than four years of experience in journalism, video production and design. She held previous internships at The Honolulu Advertiser and Makaha Studios, one of the state’s up-and-coming production houses.
Originally, Ashley received her start in media during high school at Searider Productions. Widely known as the most recognizable media program in Hawaii and one of the top high school programs in the nation, Ashley was a copywriter for various projects that included public service announcements and promotional videos for non-profit organizations such as National Bone Marrow Registry, MADD-Hawaii and Hawaii Meals on Wheels. She also wrote a 40-minute documentary on the state of Hawaii’s trade mission to China in 2005 that was an official selection at the Hawaii International Film Festival. She also served as the Layout/Art Director of her university newspaper, The Rebel Yell, during 2007-2008.
